MLK9 New Mexico is a premier professional dog training company serving Albuquerque, New Mexico and surrounding areas.
I am a native New Mexican who grew up loving animals, specifically dogs, and I had a lifelong dream of being in law enforcement. In 2018, that dream was accomplished when I was hired as a cadet at a local sheriff’s office, which is still my home agency. In 2019, my sheriff’s office started a K9 Unit for the first time in its 120-year existence, in which I was chosen to be the handler for a dual-purpose dog. Unfortunately, my first K9 partner had to retire this year (2025), but he is now part of my family, and I was privileged with the opportunity to run a second dual-purpose dog. Being a K9 handler is more than a designation but a way of life which I fully immersed myself in. I am a perpetual student of the art of dog training and am honored to be blessed with the opportunity to serve my community and handle and train dogs.
